About the role

The Product Design team at Sofía is an innovative team committed to designing intuitive and impactful user experiences. Our goal is to make taking care of your health easier, and we do so by understanding our user needs and designing seamless journeys for our soci@s, company admins, doctors and more! As the Head of Product Design, you will spearhead the development and refinement of Sofia’s product design strategies and practice. You will collaborate extensively across departments to ensure that our design solutions meet the needs of our users while aligning with our business goals.

In this role, you will not only lead and inspire a talented and dedicated team but also set the standard for product design excellence within Sofia, and drive horizontal design initiatives that raise the bar. This is not a purely managerial role, we expect a hands-on approach to design. This position is pivotal in driving our mission forward by innovating and maintaining a user-centered design approach.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage a dynamic product design team to deliver innovative and user-centric solutions.
• Manage and evolve Sofia’s product design methodologies, ensuring great operational execution and impact.
• Set the experience standards and hold the design team accountable to ensure excellence across our product line.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, sales and operation teams to align design initiatives with company objectives and user needs.
• Drive horizontal design initiatives that raise the bar of our user experience.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.

• A proven track record in product design through various product lifecycles.
• Exceptional skills in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio that showcases a strong design process and real-world impact.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable and effective design solutions.
• A passion for mentorship and team development, with a knack for nurturing talent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
• A deep commitment to enhancing user experience and a genuine passion for the mission of Sofia.
